Healthcare leaders, pharmaceutical companies, policymakers, investors and medical technology experts from across Africa and beyond are expected to gather in Accra in June for the 5th Edition of the West Africa Pharma and Healthcare Expo 2026.
The major healthcare and pharmaceutical industry event is scheduled to take place from June 8 to June 10, 2026, at the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA) Auditorium under the theme, “Advancing Healthcare. Connecting Africa.”
The Expo is being organised in collaboration with Astrovision Global FZCO based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and ACE Group from India.
Organisers say the event is aimed at creating a strategic platform for stakeholders within the healthcare ecosystem to network, exchange ideas, attract investments and explore opportunities for regional collaboration.
According to the Organising Committee, the event is expected to attract more than 100 exhibitors, over 3,000 participants and official delegations from more than 10 countries, making it one of the largest healthcare and pharmaceutical gatherings in the West African sub-region.
The three-day event will bring together healthcare institutions, pharmaceutical manufacturers, researchers, regulators, development partners, medical technology innovators, institutional leaders and policymakers to discuss key issues shaping the future of healthcare delivery in Africa.
A major highlight of the Expo will be the Healthcare Conference slated for June 8 at 10:00 AM at the UPSA Auditorium.
The conference is expected to feature high-level panel discussions involving experts and industry leaders who will deliberate on emerging trends, challenges and practical solutions within the healthcare sector.
Key focus areas to be discussed at the conference include pharmaceutical development and manufacturing, artificial intelligence in diagnostics and healthcare delivery, digital health transformation, healthcare system strengthening and regional investment opportunities within the health sector.Health
Other discussions will centre on the integration of herbal and traditional medicine into modern healthcare systems, medical technologies, healthcare innovation and strategies to improve access to quality healthcare across the continent.
Organisers say the event will also provide exhibitors with an opportunity to showcase cutting-edge healthcare products, services and innovations. These will include pharmaceuticals, laboratory technologies, healthcare IT systems, medical devices, digital health solutions, wellness products, dental products and herbal medicines.
The Organising Committee noted that the Expo is expected to create direct engagement opportunities between investors, global partners, healthcare institutions and policymakers within an environment focused on innovation, sustainable growth and healthcare advancement.
In a statement issued on May 19, 2026, the organisers extended an invitation to pharmaceutical companies, professional associations, healthcare institutions, researchers, manufacturers, investors, development partners and regulatory bodies to participate in the event.
They expressed optimism that the gathering would contribute significantly to shaping the future of healthcare delivery and investment across Africa while strengthening collaboration among industry players.
The Expo will run daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
